Sunset On The Water - Fond du Lac

Don't go back. Terrible service, at least three times we were here. The food was pretty good, so we always tried, but after the last visit we will never go back. The staff is so rude. We had order problems, forgotten items, falsely accused, terrible rude service. Very disappointed with this place.

Two times in the last two months. Our first experience was less than great. We walked in and stood a bit before someone sat at the bar (we thought she was a customer) came and sat. Then we waited about 10 minutes before our waitress came. But we sat at the window and had a great look, so it wasn't a big deal. Our Hummus tablet appetizer was great, but also the highlight of the meal. My wife's soup was extremely salty. I had tenderloin, which was very overcooked, and my wife coconut war was very dark and oily. We didn't see our waitress after she brought our food until we were ready. It is definitely a place where the locals were going and we could hear our waitress talking to many people on the bar side, so that unfortunately we did not get the attention. We always go by and it's always busy, so we tried to give it back this week. Once again we went in and stood on an empty host for a while until the lady sat at the bar and sat. We ordered two old fashions and they came fast. However, my old fashion had 2 GIANT FRUIT FLIES in IT. Once again, we could hear our server talking to people on the bar side, but about 15 minutes had to wait until it came back. I politely asked for another drink and when I was on the flies she thought it was just the funny thing. I got another drink and we moved on. This time I ordered boneless wings and my wife ordered a burger. My wings were pretty good, but the burger was well done. Like in, black and crusty. We did not see our waitress (but she heard) until we were finished. There are a few topics here with 2 chances. If you're not a place that sits on the bar, you won't get much attention. They seem to have a cooking problem, as the food was badly executed in both cases. I am very concerned about hygiene when there are fruit flies in the drinks. It's too bad, but in this case, two strikes were enough to not come back.

Ordnete the rib, most of it is fed to my dog. Fully crispy and fat. Prime Rib had very good taste but was cold. My baked potato wasn't hot either. There was a complete dining room, but it didn't seem that busy and most of the other tables seemed to throw away most of their food. The woman got an extra dollar for weaponries and usually got crumbs. It won't go back.

When sitting on deck, waitress came out, but didn't even go to another table looking in our direction, yet recognizing that our being went back then. We went to the bar to order, and when we waited, the owner came to welcome us by telling us that the food would be brought to us, from this point on our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious I especially enjoyed the Clam Chowder that came together with Prime Rib dinner. Great place to enjoy sitting outside beside Lake Winnebago.

First time eating here, myself and a friend chose here because we anted to bring dogs with us. Upon sitting on deck waitress came out but went to another table didn’t even look in our direction nor acknowledge our being there then went back inside. We went to bar to order and as we waited the Owner came out to greet us informing us that food would be brought out to us, from that point on our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious I especially enjoyed the clam chowder that came along with prime rib dinner. Great place to enjoy outdoor sitting next to Lake Winnebago.
