Bidrage med feedbackAlthough my wife and I did not regular users of the eurotunnel le shuttle service we have used over a period of twenty years the service at about 18 locations and have found it a simple and fast way to get to france. the check-in and the speed of boarding impress us always, it is a very well-guided facility and is a well-stocked at Britain and france in the way that the service runs so smoothly with just a few hiccups in the last 20 odd years. I would add that we always try to use it outside the peak operating times and have not experienced august vacations or bank holidays, but it seems a better bet then a quantity of current ferry passes and the chaos on a quantity of airports in Britain. an area where the tunnel service is much better, then other medium to get to france and the rest of europa is when it comes to taking their dog with them on holiday, the dog can sit in the car or camper van with them and is much less stressful for them and they! then in the car below in the car decks are found for an hour or even several hours with clanging and banging on lärm. it is still a magical feeling to find in france their own in what seems like minutes after leaving the united kingdom.
So smooth couldn't falt this place we were early to get the dog booked in and that was it we were allowed to go perfect
Despite the increased checks the Eurotunnel team, Customs and Police from both nations were processing vehicles as fast as ever. Being on a motorbike makes things easier and we were able to make our way to the front which helped as they like to get bikes on the next available train and put us at the back where there's space. So much better and quicker than the ferry but I will occassionally go by boat just for the slow, at sea, Titanic experience.
Fantastic EU link. Very fast channel crossing. Practical for car/bike drivers. Pricing isn’t always great and it’s hard to find the constantly advertised “low prices” despite flexible date searches. Poor COVID-19 management. Basically shut all on board loos rather than increasing cleaning. Poor effort!
This is a great option for a quick trip across the channel. It's advisable to book tickets in advance. There are waiting areas with duty-free shops and restaurants on both sides of the channel. The crossing itself is quite smooth. Border controls are conducted on the British side when traveling to France and on the French side when returning to Britain. Passengers drive through a long train for about 35 minutes. I highly recommend it!
