Bidrage med feedbackRestaurants where you can eat outdoors in a beautiful courtyard (beneficiando of the beautiful climate of Foggia, at least in the period when we were, in May) or inside a room of a former convent (now a hotel, Palazzo Sant'Elena). The dishes reflect the culinary culture of the place, simple in their composition but excellent for quality. In our two dinners we tasted three first of which two with local pasta (we remember the troccoli to the viestana, for example). Perfect cooking, superlative dressings for quantity and quality. To try the 'mittanella', a sort of square pizza with inserted in the edge the 'cacio' and we had never seen before. A note that surprised us very favorably is that you do not make particular use of spices (or cmq we did not perceive them) that can alter tastes. The waiters are in line with the local, ie from 5 stars (with Lode). After this experience we suspect that Foggia could be one of the (poche) Italian Culinary Capitals and this restaurant is a brilliant example of it.
The restaurant is adjacent to the hotel where we stayed, with satisfaction. It is quiet, centrally located, is the typical family restaurant. The kitchen is great, the ingredients are good, we ate so much and digested very well. The prices are honest, the service is great. Fully satisfied
The restaurant is located in a central area of the city. It is not very big but our group was placed in a very nice corner that allowed us not to create any disturbance to other people present. Appetizer, pizza, drinks, everything abundant. Good service especially because we have chosen an intraweekly day. Good pizzas.
We went as invited guests for a birthday and it was a great discovery. Great restaurant!....we had eaten all fish menu... all great of dessert aperitif. Fresh fish and prepared with great skill without overwhelming and altering the natural goodness of the raw material. Needless mention the dishes eaten....but I want to remember the mackerel salad with tropea onion, octopus salad...the first small ears with fresh tomatoes, shrimp, basil pesto and stracciatella! Fresh mixed fry! We saw the hot day eating out... To definitely come back!! I can't say the price because we were invited... but it definitely applies.
We stayed at dinner last night with friends in this restaurant, we found good the food we ordered, but portions a little scarce on the seconds.. The fish fried was comparable to an appetizer, not to a second, so much so that we had to order a pizza and bruschette at the end of dinner to feed us. However all good, especially bruschettes.
