Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant in Flushing serves the best South Indian food. However, on my recent visit on September 10, 2023, I was disappointed to find that they do not adhere to their stated closing time. I arrived at 8:30 with 15 minutes left before the final order, but they refused to take my order, citing the need to clean for a religious service. While I understand the importance of observing religious rituals, denying food to a hungry person goes against our cultural values. This was not a good experience and I hope they improve their service in the future. Good luck to the canteen.
Fantastic Authentic South Indian food. Don't miss it. Parking is a little tough, but you can find it on nearby roads. The canteen has a separate entrance. It is not mandatory to go into a temple. Prices are very reasonable.
Very cool spot in the basement of a Hindu temple. The menu is hard to understand with no descriptions or pictures except the flashing menu items on the TVs which only stay for 5 seconds before switching to another item. Not enough time to analyze and decide. Thankfully a very nice patron advised us on what was good and helped us make up our minds. We got a bunch of different things so we could try a variety. It’s all vegetarian and many of the items were delicious. I will definitely come again to try more options. We couldn’t finish everything because it was so much food for only $28 for 2 people. Not a high price!!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian here.
Everything was fine, it was a Wednesday night, at our local spot, reasonable price. Except when I went to the bathroom, some lady tried to reach around my stall on top to steal my purse! Of all places! She probably didn 't realize that I see her doing it ans thought i was in a vulnerable position. I shouted at her and took hold of my purse and then she muttered sorry and quickly left to locked herself in another stall. Be aware of your belongings!
Great cafeteria in temple premises. Please look for a cafeteria sign and you should be able to find the stairs/elevator to go downstairs. Temple cafeteria have varieties of South Indian food and appetizers. Also you can get some packaged snacks too. Because of street parking finding a parking is little tricky.Vegetarian options: 100% vegetarian
