Stanfield's River Bottom Grill

As a Yankee in the south on a work trip, I figured it would be a good idea to try some southern seafood. The salmon was delicious as was the shrimp skewer. The corn on the cob left somethings to be desired, but the IPA was cold off the tap. I sat out on the deck and enjoyed the sun fading away for the day. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in Florence and then take a walk on the docks.

Riverbottom Grille is one of my favorite restaurants in the Shoals. The restaurant is located right under the O'Neal Bridge and floating with the boats in the Florence Harbor Marina. Great views and even better food and cocktails. There's seating downstairs and upstairs as well as outside looking over the Tennessee River. I love all the Flatbread sandwiches, corkscrew shrimp, chicken tenders, wings, fried pickles etc. They have the best Buffalo wing sauce. It's also one of the only places around that I know of where you can order a Bushwacker. My family and I love going here. My 5 year old wants to go here all the time!

This was our 1st time here but not our last. We got there early, got a table right away. Service was great. Food was fresh and hot. Good variety of delicious food. We had alligator bites, fish and chips and the fried oysters with wild rice. Yum

Ok, we both had the deep fried chicken fingers with fries and a side salad. It was the best chicken strips I have had in a long time, and believe me when I say I eat a lot of chicken,I eat a LOT of chicken! The server was very nice and attentive, sometimes you can tell if they are just putting on a show, but she seemed very nice. Prices, very good, I thought, for the location. I will be back! This is an added review, I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!! It has been one year since I was here and the food is still excellent!! This time I wanted to try the fried shrimp because we just returned from Gulf Shores where I had shrimp, and it was just terrible. The shrimp here, at River Bottom is more than excellent, I loved it!! Oh, and get the bacon cheese fries , great, also! I could go on and on, but I won't, go to RIVER BOTTOM GRILL BY STANFIELDS, you won't regret the trip!! Nuff said...

Call ahead seating 15min out, it was a little busy but seemed typical for a Saturday night. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer you could have shared with 4+ people. I had the mushroom and swiss burger it was perfect along with a ceaser side salad that was better than any ceaser salad at a steak house. If you like a dessert mixed drink I recommend the Bushwacker you won't regret it. Highly recommend.
