Lo Scudo Wine and Grill - Florence

Very good authentic option, surprisingly, as it is located near the doms. this is the only restaurant that I tried near, that is amazing. the complementary brot was aromatic and remembers pizza. we had the ravioli with black truffle and blackworst. it was rich! the filet mignon, boiled medium-sized, with thymian and honey, was a recommendation of the service employee and it balanced the ravioli well. we also have the side of the baked kartoffels with rosmarin and evoo, and we ate it. happy to recommend this place!

One of my favorite restaurants of all time!! The owners Federico and Chris are amazing, they make everyone feel like family. Food is incredible!! My personal favorites are the pasta with olive oil and garlic, duck pasta, and honey filet mignon. Truffle pasta is also amazing, you truly cannot go wrong with anything on their menu!

The steak was perfectly seasoned with a generous sprinkling of coarse salt extra virgin olive oil. The crust was crispy charred while the interior was tender juicy. We thought that 1kg of meat would be too much for 2 people, but because the meat isn’t overwhelmingly marbled, the food wasn’t so fatty that you’d feel satiated after a couple of bites. We ordered the Florentine steak and a bottle of wine and the total was €98. The waiter was very knowledgeable and service was prompt.

If you’re wondering if you should eat at this fine establishment, I’ll have to tell you, you should and you won’t regret it!! Great menu with a good variety of interesting Italian dishes along with the traditional ones. I loved the chocolate cake dessert, the fudge on the inside was sooo tasty. The lasagna had lots of flavor (garlic, Italian seasonings, hearty tomato sauce, etc. and I’m a big fan. The complimentary bread was the best I’ve had in Italy! Also, the service is impeccable. My waiter helped me pick out the perfect wine for my dinner and it was reasonably priced. All in all, great dinner spot!

The service we had was great. The place was pretty quiet when we were there, but the food was good the tuffle ravioli can be a little rich though.
