Bidrage med feedbackRight on the harbour this is one of those old world restaurants that feels like it has been around forever. The place is covered in maritime memorabilia. One of the many good seafood restaurants in the area but can be on the pricey side.
THE RESTAURANT The restaurant is located directly on the water and impresses with its stunning decoration as soon as the store will enter. It reminds of expeditions in Africa, South America and partly also Vikings. This is reflected not only in dark colors, but also in animals, boats and other decorations. That's how I imagine a classic seafarer pub. Still, I feel right now. RESERVATION I can make a reservation to the heart. We stayed there on a Sunday and can book a table in advance by phone. A later guest went home without a table. The audience was mixed colourfully. Mostly couples or smaller groups. PRICES Prices are high average. We have paid about 75€ for soft drinks, appetizers and main dish The toilets are clean and make a reasonable impression. We were brought to our place by a very nice and charmingly dressed man and got the cards directly. After we had ordered it took about five minutes until we got our drinks and 15 minutes later our cutlery. After that our appetizers came. My husband had chosen a potato soup, which tasted spicy and very degrading. I chose Labskaus myself. It was the probational portion, but it was clearly far too powerful and large. Tastefully, the Labskaus is very good, and anyone who has never eaten it should try it here. Another 20 minutes later came the main food. My husband chose a colourful plate and I chose a carving. There were frying potatoes, peas and sauce. Let's start with my husband's flesh. It was not tough or dry, for that the plate floats with liquid and it was a lot of fat. This was also true for roast potatoes, which were tastefully good. I just tried the sauce and left it right back. She tasted over spicy and was unfortunately not our case. The scavenger was large, had a good color, but partly tasted quite dry and in places very much after pepper. With Sauce this might have been nice, but so, a little bit lacked. The salad also seemed kind of displaced on the plate. Green on green and then so bitter salad?
Just WOW! Restaurant has a really nice climate, but what is important, they know how to make fish! No joke, that was one of the best fish (sole) I ate each we had a dinner with a bunch of friends and all were very happy with his choice. A must in Flensburg!
In all the ports, the fish soup has to be one for me and when I read that this is prepared here after a 130 year old recipe, my joy barely knew yet limits. Although excellently compiled and spiced, I was somewhat disappointed. the taste reminded me more of the sweet soup than of borillas. The matjefilets Glücksstädter art, on the other hand, were a single dense, from the super-species matjes to the butter potatoes to the mini-moon. Since it was too much for my wife, I still came to a wonderful pale man's mouse. Conclusion: who the fish soup tastes as described here, he can remember the 5th point and eat there absolutely.
We were five, including a younger one. the dinner was very good. huge portions and great beer. the service was friendly
