Bergrestaurant Eissee - Flattach

Well, what to write, because this is the only restaurant/bar available at the cable car station? To be honest, it is a large restaurant that can serve several hundreds of skiers/tourists in the same time. It offers a variety of dishes (suppen, salads, main courses) and it is a self-service type. Food is not bad, but it's not something special. There is also a bar where you can get coffee, beer, liquor, soft drinks etc. Its prices are standard comparison with other ski resorts on the othe ski resorts. If you visit this glacier during a beautiful weather day, you will have a chance to enjoy your dish/drink on a terrace with magnificent views of the Alps.

Typical restaurant in ski resorts all over Austria. Food is good, very big variety of it, for fries to germknodel which was tasty . But the best is the view that is wau. Very big outside terase and with nice weather that is soo perfect. Clean toilets as well.

Serves the usual Austrian mountain fare (Fritatenzuppe, Kaiserschmarn, Bratwurst, Germknodel, etc. at very reasonable prices. The views are brilliant and the seating plentiful even at skiing high season.

As this is probably the only place to have lunch while skiing on Molltal Gletscher, it was quite crowded during the lunch time. It is self service type of restaurant. We had klein spagetti and the portion was big enough for two adults to have sufficient lunch and it also tasted good. Then we had a strudel and it was so delicious that we considered waiting again the the long queue to buy one more. The facilities are clean.

Unfortunately, there is little gastronomic choice in the ski area mölltaler gletscher. the mountain restaurant eissee however convinces with a good price-performance ratio - large portions at a fair price considering the location. self service, sufficient space, even at midday, clean toilets incl. child bath. friendly and helpful staff.
