St Yared - Fishers

This place was fantastic! I went here with my father as we were celebrating my birthday. First off, the food was fantastic! We got a dinner for two meal which had an assortment of different dishes. The owners were the only ones working and they treated us like family. Super nice people! Also, don't forget to try the coffee when you are here. It is a must! I hope to enjoy this place for many years to come!

St. Yared is a great spot in the Geist area of Fishers, especially if you want to go vegetarian for the day. I've had Ethiopian a few times Keren Cafe in D.C. being the first. People are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Of note, if you don't like spice don't get the spicy dishes here I like spice and while the dishes tingle the mouth for me, it'll be too hot for those that can't handle a little heat. Things I had: Coffee smooth, not bitter or sour, and you can faintly get some of the tasting notes outlined in the menu Sambusa dough is thin and crispy, not too oily, and the Silsi sauce is spicy magic Vegetarian Combo for One lentils, split peas, cabbage, collard greens, and potatoes and carrots were all cooked and seasoned well

Family run and it feels like being a guest in someone’s home. Owners were incredibly warm and food was delicious! Make sure to try the coffee. It’s almost a dessert itself. Can’t believe the gall of some of the one star reviews complaining that the staff asked about vaccinations. Make a reservation and make the trip!

This is one of the best places I've ever had the fortune of finding. The food is excellent, and has options for just about everyone. The coffee is some of the best I've ever had, and I've had a very wide variety of coffee to compare it too. And the owner is one of the kindest, wisest men I've ever met. It's always a pleasure talking to him. I cannot recommend this place enough. Full scale dinner or just coffee, it doesn't matter, you should go here if you get the chance.

This restaurant is a must if you are in the area. The care that the owner puts into each customer is unbelievable, and the food is a dining experience that you’ll remember your whole life. This place will make it so that any other Ethiopian restaurant will never completely satisfy you.
