Unlike many modern eateries where the music overpowers conversation, here the ambiance was perfectly balanced, allowing us to enjoy our table chats without raising our voices.The service was nothing short of exemplary. Our waitress struck the perfect chord of attentiveness, ensuring our needs were met with a smile and efficiency, yet never once did she intrude upon our evening. It's a rare skill to be present just enough, and she mastered it beautifully.As for the food, it was a delightful journey from start to finish. Each dish was crafted to perfection, with flavors that danced on the palate and left us savoring every bite. The highlight, however, was the flourless torte—a decadent treat that was the epitome of dessert perfection.In a world where dining out can sometimes feel impersonal, The English Inn stands out as a beacon of classic hospitality and culinary excellence. It's a place not just to eat, but to dine and enjoy the finer aspects of a meal out with friends or family. We left with full bellies and warm hearts, already looking forward to our next visit.
Our experience on April 13, 2024 was a little disappointing. My Beef Wellington wasn’t as good as in the past. Wasn’t worth the price tag. I hope they recover and get back to past experiences.
The food was just good . We did come in late, all you can eat perch. The breading was great, light and crispy. But I experienced a fishy taste (I know...it is fish after all). My husband wished for more onions in his baked onion soup, but it was good. Bruschetta was great. Potatoes great. Spinach salad with hot bacon
It was my birthday and Robin was our server.She was absolutely wonderful, as was the food.I love the old supper club feel of this place as well.The only thing that was not pleasant was the bernaise sauce. It was clumpy, cold and separating.It should have been taken off the menu until the “chef” learns to properly make a sauce.
We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was phenomenal, the beef Wellington was cooked to perfection, and the twice-baked potatoes were absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch, making us feel truly welcomed. My boyfriend loved the flavorful chicken wings and veggie Alfredo. Overall, a fantastic meal with exceptional service. Can't wait to go back! ??️
