The asparagus risotto is a must, the eggplant parmigiana also delicious. Gorgeous location close to the Duomo but tucked away from the crowds. The service was great. If you are looking for a spot for lunch or dinner you should absolutely go here.
For the first time ever, I tried a tasting menu. What a great idea it was! Every dish they brought was fantastic. The two pasta dishes were the absolute best: Tortelli stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach in sage and walnuts pesto Wholemeal festoni with rabbit and wild fennel white ragu The restaurant was not crowded, we sat outside on a beautiful night, and the service was excellent. It appears to be a family business, and we were well served by Mom, Dad and Daughter. The chef passed the dishes out through a window to the servers. One of the highlights was when the chef peeked out as I was tasing the tortelli and reacted to how delicious it was. I could see him smiling (and maybe doing a small fist pump? as he saw how much his cooking impacted me. I wanted to give a standing ovation as we left the restaurant!
Very kind staff, very helpful and welcoming; you can breathe a beautiful family atmosphere. delicious food, excellent quality raw materials. great attention both in the kitchen and in the presentation of the dishes, and in the cleaning. I recommend it to everyone, especially those looking for quality Tuscan cuisine and a stone's throw from the cathedral and not from the usual tourist restaurant.
