Security despite the supertouristic placement. Pure wine on the top floor, glass of wine and croutons to accompany....polpette for a quick but tasteful break. Under a few tables. Rustic furnishings, Tuscan cuisine. Everything very simple but well cooked. Average count.

We return here, when we are (constituted) at lunch in the center of Florence. Very characteristic place, with its taverns wedges of bottles, fruit and edibles, without anything of the silly novelties that transform (in worse) our cities. Typical dishes, with traditional (strong) flavors, not watered to meet a rampant and ignorant tourism, which too often claims to find tastes closer to their habits. Here you eat as travelers, not by tourists, even if at the prices contained correspond portions not entirely generous. But this is Florence, beauty.

I came here last Saturday with a friend of mine and we took mixed croutons, pappardelle with wild boar ragout and ravioli with tomato. Very good food. Honorable mention to the new waiter Edward who was very good. We will return

This place is a hidden gem. 5 minutes walk from the Duomo but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the square. The staff are very friendly and happy to offer advice on both the large selection of Tuscan wines and food on offer. The place is tiny but if the weather's good take you wine and crostini outside and indulge in a spot of people watching.

Recommend to us by our Walks tour guide as a hidden gem just round the corner from the Duomo, this little restaurant was fabulous. Meat was definitely on the menu, Tuscan dishes nonna would make. My friend I shared the crostini, savouring the flavours of ingredients we guess were tripe, chicken liver pate, tuna with tomato capers ? something very garlicky. We’d never knowingly have chosen but all were absolutely delicious. We then shared pappardelle with wild boar ragu, roast pork with roast potatoes steamed greens. Both dishes were incredible. I’ve never had roast pork that tasted so good. We finished with the biscotti sweet wine. At €55 for 2 including water 1lt of Chianti the meal was such good value. If we were here longer I’d visit again, this time for the salted cod which is only available on a Friday.
