Bidrage med feedbackTypical small town club bistro. Menu lacks variety and decent GF options.
Good value, fresh and tasty meals for the family. The club atmosphere is fine with a playground for the kids. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Great food with a good selection from the menu as well as blackboard specials. All at a reasonable price. A little noisy on saturday nights but advise you to book. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bistro is part of the FIngal Bay Sports Club.
A very disappointing club meal - which as tourists you can usually rely on clubs for a reasonable steak or fish..... I ordered the fish fillets with hummus on a baked vegetable salad with feta - which was around $29 and on the special board. So not a cheap dish. The fish was watery and had no flavour - on top was a huge dollop of hummus which seemed to be from out of a container. This sat on an array of wilted lettuce leaves with a few sad looking pieces of tomato and a few pieces of sun dried tomato. No baked vegetables or feta. I ate a few pieces of the sun dried tomatos. When the waitress collected my plate she didn't ask why I hadn't eaten the meal so I told her it was a terrible meal and that it didn't have any baked vegetables etc. She said she would tell the chef. No one came out to discuss the meal. So we left.We did however have a few great meals in other places - recommend the Long boat cafe in Fingal Bay (fantastic) and the Game fish club in Shoal Bay for seafood.
Came here with my family for dinner and was surprised to see Tuesday schnitzel night. House made schnitzel at there best. After moving back from SA its been hard to find a great schnitzel. I ordered the large meatlovers and i was really impressed. Thick, juicy and tender. There was a large number of people in the bistro for obvious reasons. Great family meal at a great price. And the service was excellent as well.
