A Briosa - Figueiro Dos Vinhos

This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise and we found it by chance. We didn't have many expectations because it looked like one of those village cafe type restaurants, but it was late lunch time and we stopped. I told my wife that these restaurants can have an atmosphere like a village café, but those who frequent them are generally simple but friendly people and, if the person who cooks is good, you can eat good homemade food at a very good price. In fact, the ambience of this restaurant is simple but decorated in a way that shows attention to detail. There are small decorative objects rigorously positioned around the room, each table has a small vase with a small plant and there is even a small drop-shaped electric pot that emits a small jet of steam with a practically odorless perfume that must be purifying. The dining area is enclosed in a discreet corner. Everything very clean, without smells (including the toilets) and tastefully arranged. Then I realized why it was different here. The small restaurant/café is managed by two young women, beautiful, elegant and very friendly who have left nothing to chance. We had 2 servings of pork tenderloin (in my country we call it bellies) with fries, rice, migas and a tasty vegetable soup, reminiscent of the old-fashioned soup. We drank a small mug of wine and a panaché and had a decaffeinated drink. As a starter we had bread and olives. Everything was very tasty and we just didn't eat it all because the quantity was too much for us. We pay €18.20. Too bad we live far away.
