Coast Coffee - Fife

Anstruther was very busy when we visited and all the cafes were busy. So glad we plumped for Coast Coffee. Lucky enough to get an outside table in the sun. It is a no frills cafe, you go to the counter and give your order, pay and then wait for it to be delivered. The waitress comes out and shouts your order and it is delivered to your table. We had Bacon, Brie and Cranberry panini and it was delicious served with crisps and salad. We also had two decaff americanos and the total bill was under £18. Great value and great food. You had the choice to add on a tip when you ordered but I declined but when we finished our meal I made a point of giving a tip by cash as it was such good value.

Great staff, great coffee, great food. You must try it. Sit inside or outside, it’s a great place to be.

Coast Cafe has been in operation for many years and has recently undergone a revamp. It is always bustling, which is a great indicator of a good cafe. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing quick service for all the typical offerings like hot drinks and paninis.

The Lovely Cafe is conveniently located on the waterfront with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I visited on a sunny day and enjoyed sitting outside, basking in the sunshine and enjoying delicious freshly prepared food served by the friendly and helpful staff.

I found the staff at Coast Coffee to be unhelpful and unfriendly. It was clear that the restaurant catered primarily to locals. When I asked if there was a good time to visit, the staff simply said no. As a result, we decided to go elsewhere. We ended up going to the Bank Hotel, where the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I will not be returning to Coast Coffee in the future.
