Le Cave Di Maiano - FIESOLE

The setting of this restaurant is one of the most beautiful we have visited. Though a short distance from the city of Firenze, at the Trattoria le Cave di Maiano one feels as though one has escaped bustle of the urban landscape for the countryside, which is good for the spirit and the soul! We took a bus to the Ponte a Mensola (Coverciano) stop, and then called for a taxi to bring us up the hill to the trattoria. We walked down the hill afterwards to the bus stop, and were back in Florence in no time.

Could not recommend this place highly enough. Authentic Tuscan food with amazing service and extremely reasonable for the quality delivered. A must if in the area.

I am an opera singer and I travel constantly for work, eating out more than in all over the world. The first thing my husband and I do when we get a few days at home is to dine in this lovely restaurant. The staff are so kind and friendly, it is always such a great pleasure to spend time soaking in the fabulous atmosphere here. I am celiac and vegetarian and they always go out of their way to create wonderful dishes for me every time we visit. It has become like a second home for us, our go to restaurant in Florence and we always bring all our friends here when they visit.

Now, Sunday afternoon is not the best to get a meal in reasonable time, but two hours is really too much, even if in very good company. quality is medium to high, but prices are higher than expected for available quality. they pay for excellent position, very professional service and luxurious table equipment.

Nel verde vicino alle alogenurie, nelle vicinanze si può visitare l'agriturismo e nella valle si scende per diversi percorsi adatti a camminare o in mountain bike. la camera è ben arredata all'interno e ha bellissimi tavoli in pietra all'aperto per stagioni calde. cucina molto buona con menu abbastanza vario. possibilità di prendere anche alcune opzioni consigliate al momento dal personale che è davvero utile e professionale.
