Fezlounge - Fes

Great food. Made with love. “Mother” makes the food. And the little kids are here. She is, I think, Spanish speaks French Spanish and Arabic/(Berber? . It is a short walk from our #RiadHajPalace and fantastic house made food tapas. More concentrated on western tourists, but not for the main crowd. Friendly and vegan vegetarian and hummus people... of course also meat lovers; The atmosphere is asian zen... and when you come in, let them know you're here because of the columns in the middle. I recommend this place if you want healthy delicious food.

Best food we are in Morocco. Run by a lovely welcoming Barcelonian Lady who has lived long in Fez. Don't listen to the criminal boys on the corner who tell you she is closed. She has refused to pay them commissions and they are telling direct lies to tourists.

The Medina can be a hectic, and sometimes, uprightly aggressive place. Therefore it is good to know that in the heart of it FezLounge, a quiet and real corner of the souk, with some of the best classic dishes we had in Morroco. We had lamb couscous and chicken tagine. Both were excellent, with lamb that was full of taste and fell from the bone, and chicken flavored in a traditional way. The service was excellent, and we were made to feel welcome without it being transferred or wrong. If you are trying to prepare authentic Moroccan dishes with care and without the hatred and dampness that too often accompanies tourist restaurants in the souk, head here.

The mother was really nice and friendly, the food is very decent and it tastes really good: It is a small restaurant that makes you feel at home.
