Nice place for an aperitivo, sitting at an outside table in the charming Piazza del Municipio.

Less touristy than other nearby cafes, great location next to the cathedral and the castle, good coffee and great value (1€ for small coffee). Friendly staff. I recommend it.

Typical Ferrara cuisine in the historic center. We came to this place for a quick lunch and accompanied by a friend of Ferrara. I tasted four typical specialties of the area: the Ferraresebrot, which is embraced here, for the first course the Cappellacci al ragù (big pumpkin tortelli from fresh pasta and with meat and tomato sauce), the typical Salama con purè (a kind of cotechino made with different spices and cooked for five hours) and finally a Tenerife (typical dark chocolate cake). A wonderful 100% Ferrara culinary experience. I recommend a visit. The location is very rustic, but in the center of the old town next to the town hall. The wrong place is very simple, but the service was really effective in recommending dishes and wines.
