Bidrage med feedbackWhile in Fergus on our Ready for a Road Trip through Guess Where Trips this place was written up in our Guide and while viewing the River and Gorge from Templin Gardens on the other side saw it and walked the Bridge to get to it. What a view from the Patio overlooking the River ! Great service accompanied the great food. I had the Canadian Smash Burger and fries (delicious) and my wife had the Cod Scrunchions Grilled Cod, mashed, grilled root vegetables, beets and a small side of slaw. She savoured every mouth full. The Newfoundland art work and murals inside (including the washrooms) made for an extra pleasing experience. We 'll certainly stop here again when in the area !
Fabulous place, it was cool out so we headed indoors and what a treat. Newfoundland at its best! Decorations and decor fun. Food was fantastic, fish chips, lobster roll (waitress Abby’s suggestion) and fish bites, we couldn’t eat it all. We will definitely return and tell friends.
Was in Fergus and decided to try eating there as wife had recommendations to try the Seafood chowder. She enjoyed it and I had the Fish and chips unfortunately, the batter was so thick and the fish so small but the chips was tasty. Might visit again as the view of the river was great
Goofie Newfie never disappoints on fish and chips. The batter is super crispy and the portion is large (great left overs) We’ve tried almost everything on the menu snd it is all Good Patio or inside, always a good meal in Fergus.
This restaurant is a bit hard to find, around the back of a long building facing the river. The search was worth it. After a round of golf, all four of us enjoyed our food and drinks. I had the lobster mac and cheese, others had the baked haddock. No complaints. A truly Newfie atmosphere here, and they actually serve Newfie round steak! A quite diverse menu. Might try the lobster rolls next time.
