My family had such a great experience at Salt of the Earth! The whole family enjoyed the bread board to start. We got a side of brussels sprouts to have as an appetizer as well. I was worried I wouldn't like the maple balsamic combo but it was perfectly balanced. The kids mac and cheese was unbelievable. My daughter has eaten many restaurant mac and cheese dishes and declared it the best ever! I also had pasta, a chicken and vegetable dish, and it was fresh and light. My husband had the hanger steak, it was tender and the chimichurri was bright and complimented it well. Lastly, my son got the salmon which they were happy to customize for him (switching out the sides for fries) and he was super happy with it. We got the s'mores for dessert and it was huge and over the top but definitely a must try at least once! I almost forgot, we got a couple of their specialty cocktails and they were unique and delicious. Five stars, can't wait until we are back in Fennville so we can visit again! We got lucky and were able to be squeezed in when we visited but next time we will be sure to make reservations in advance. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with delicious options, and they were able to adjust an adult meal a little so it would appeal to a 12 year old.

Wanted to take a day trip from Chicago just to have dinner. Salt of the Earth was highly recommended by friends who live in Saugatuck. It certainly did not disappoint! It was a phenomenal meal. I feel the cuisine is world class, and the staff is fantastic. I'll definitely be returning! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
