Bidrage med feedbackThis food is always excellent!! However, service.... I don't know if this is Korean style... But unless you raise hand and say get server's attention you won't get any service. Lol
This is a typical korean restaurant that is above average by my standards. The place can be very busy on weekends for dinner. During those times, servers can be extremely busy so they might not be as attentive. Ambience is hippy and young but needs some upgrade. Some decor inside look many years old. Pricing is fair on most dishes. Bossam (boiled pork, with wraps) and Jokbal (pork feet) are my favorite dishes. I took one star off because most dishes are good and a few dishes are kind of bad. For example, jokbal is the best you can find in Washington at the time of this writing, but the noodle that comes with it is kind of bad. Spicy pork dish was also worse than expected. 30min drive from Seattle but it might be worth for someone who is craving for above average korean food.
Do try bossam set menu and jokbal. If you order both items, make sure you have 4 adults. Portions are huge!!
Killer budae jjigae and Cheese Tteokbokki! The rice wine paired with the dishes so nicely, everything came together with spicy and sweet. 10/10
Dolsot bibimbab. I ordered makguksu, bossam, and makgeolli... When I received the food, I was surprised by the visuals... Makguksu was really makguksu... buckwheat noodles on top of freshly sliced lettuce... the seasoning was not just vinegar sauce or red pepper paste... this was 16.99 at home. I think it would be embarrassing to give it like this... at a restaurant that sells it for money... and there is no taste of the seasoning... I ate three chopsticks and didn't eat... Haha, the dolsot bibimbap had carrots, spinach and radish greens under dried out fries that looked like they had been cooked beforehand... ..I mixed it and it all fell apart...the hot pot smelled like bleach...so I ate a spoonful and left it...I ate the bossam okay. Maybe it was because I was offended by other foods, but I also gave the bossam and the taste of the kimchi seemed to have changed a bit.I mentioned Dolsot when paying, but they didn't take the money... The male workers were friendly... Business here is good and a lot of people from other countries go there... I wonder if it was only the day I went... It was bitter...
