Ol' Hickory Cafe - Farmerville

Absolutely the worst meal my husband and I have ever eaten, and we are in our 60s. Half of my Hamburger steak was undercooked, my husband's was worse. He still ate it, I'm hoping he doesn't get sick. Zero seasonings. Like the cook just took some ground meat and put it on the griddle. Served cold, as were my mashed potatoes. His potato salad was soupy. The table was not clean. Not going back! Little interaction with the staff, but they were friendly.

Last time I came here I had fried catfish it was good but today I messed up by ordering the fried round steak. Would you like country fried steak? you have to ask for the gravy? But the meat is so thin that it's hard to find it in all that breading. The chicken dumplings should have just been called mushy dumplings, because there was only one strand of chicken that was like it is then as a piece of hair. The dumplings are totally on edible so they were just were just raw mush. The fried cornbread was like something out of from outer space. I couldn't even bite into it so I have the waitress read me just regular cornbread. Yes, I could bite into it, but it had no taste, bland!!!! The service is good and staff is friendly The food was inedible so I'm not stopping next time I'm just gonna keep my foot on the pedal pedal to the metal and keep on Truckin!!! And it was so hot in there. It was hotter than hell. I thought I was gonna pass out.
