Bidrage med feedbackHaving been a regular takeaway customer for many years, I can honestly say that tonight's meal from Wah Ying in Hill Head was the most disappointing takeaway I have ever had. Despite being hot, the food was tasteless and the so-called curry sauce was a brown, unappetizing effort. My wife and I have been customers for nearly two decades, but have watched the quality steadily decline over time. Even something as simple as salting the chips seems to be beyond them. While not cheap, their focus seems to be on maximizing profit with minimum effort. The only reason we continued to use this place was because of its convenient location. It's a shame to see such greed running the shop. We have decided to take our business elsewhere. Reading other reviews, it seems that opinions vary, but for me, I simply want value for my money. What used to be a good takeaway has now fallen to the same level as the rest of the mediocre options in the area, offering dry, tasteless, and overpriced food.
The Chinese food at this restaurant is absolutely delightful. We always enjoy getting takeout from here, as it is a firm favorite, especially when we have visitors. The staff are also really friendly and kind.
While staying in Hillhead, my partner and I decided to indulge in a Sunday night treat by ordering from a nearby Chinese takeaway, Wah Ying. However, we were disappointed to find that the food was very average compared to our usual favorite, Parkwood Chinese in Kent. The takeaway from Wah Ying was decent, but ultimately fell short of our expectations.
What has happened here? This outlet used to be superb???? Awful food. Stale, tasteless and tough. The chicken (I think) was unrecognisable as “food?” Special fried rice? There was nothing in it? It was rice. I could do that myself!! Mushrooms were hard and cold? Sort it out. Despite where you are, you still need to perform. Never again.
We are never disappointed by the take-aways from here, and the service is pretty good despite being very busy some nights
