Bidrage med feedbackVery good, it seemed to be home, very familiar treatment, great and abundant eaten accompanied by primitive wine, then the tart simply fantastic! a dear greeting from chodroipo lurenzo. friuli venezia giulia. I'll see you next, bye.
We stayed here with friends and ate before, seconds, contours and desserts. overall everything was good, however a little too expensive, not having even seen the prices since the courses were communicated to us by the waitress before the order. Nice staff. in the bathroom lacked soap.
A good place in a very characteristic place, good the very simple kitchen and house, excellent the first.
We live in Rome, and made the trip to this beautiful abbey on Easter Monday, so expected the restaurant to be busy. However, arriving at the tail end of lunch, we found it to be half empty, so we're disappointed to be turned away. On explaining this to the young lady at the desk, her colleague said he would find us something, and duly sat the three of us at a table for two. We found our own third chair, and sat down. Bread and water were delivered speedily, but we had a 20 minute wait for the menus. Then a 20 minute wait to place an order (at this point we were only permitted to order our antipasti), and then another 20 minutes to order our primi and wine. Half an hour later, our deeply average primi arrived, but despite several prompts, we didn't see our wine until we had nearly finished our food. We weren't offered the chance to order secondi, but at least the coffee arrived in short order. Well, one of them did, the other two of us waited again. Amazingly, after yet another long wait for the bill, our second request was turned down, as we had to wait until the waitress had finished mopping the floor in the bathroom! Finally, we threatened to leave without paying as we had been there two and a half hours, and an inaccurate bill was produced, and paid. As previously mentioned, we live in Italy, and are well used to what others may consider to be slow service, but we are not used to being roundly ignored. We also speak Italian, so there are no excuses to be given for our poor language skills. Such a shame, we were not expecting haute cuisine, but this review would still only have received three stars if it was about the food.
Great location, good food and good service. Reasonable value. There were 3 of us and we all had different meals, all very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good wine list. We were there on a quiet day and I'm sure that this place can fill up in busy tourist times. Overall we had a very good leisurely lunch and were very happy with the experience. Farfa is so beautiful that we aim to return and when we do we'll be looking forward to another great meal at Da Lupi.
