Bidrage med feedbackHad been meaning to try Flyboy's for quite some time and just recently gave it a try. The inside is much bigger than it appears from the outside, and it has an extra space upstairs and an outdoor patio. There is a small bar area adjacent from where they make the sandwiches and quite a few televisions. However, only two of the TV's were on and neither were playing the OSU football game that was on during the time we went, sigh. The menu is pretty big with sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads. Typical New York style deli menu. I ordered the grilled chicken southwest wrap. It comes toasted with a pickle, chips are extra. For two wraps and two chips it was around $24.00. The food was pretty good, but the portions weren't that big. I also tried some spicy mustard that they had sitting out at a condiment station, but quickly noticed that 5 out of 7 bottles were expired (not recently expired either). We will probably give it another try.
We are repeat customers at the Oakwood location. However, after today I don't know that I will order food from this location again. The cleanliness of handling food appropriately is questionable. An employee was coughing without covering his mouth-near food, handling food without gloves, and rubbing his face-then delivering food and pouring drinks without washing or sanitizing his hands. I highly recommend that the owners of this location encourage staff to review proper food handling and handwashing techniques at a restaurant. The cashier makes you feel like you just being at the restaurant is a bother. I find him extremely rude when we are placing our order.
Great place to eat and drink Locally owned. Located in downtown Oakwood. Delicious Hot food items and New York style deli sandwiches and subs.
The salad itself was pretty good. I was very glad they had plastic ware available because the fork they gave me had sticky gunk and someone else's lunch still on it. I thought maybe it was just the fork, but the table was also pretty sticky, and we were in there pretty early for lunch. Decent, but take your vitamins just in case...
My mom wanted to go to this small restaurant/deli on Far Hills Rd in Oakwood. The name Flyboys is in reference to pilots and aviation, so the food names on the menu reflect the theme. We ordered at the deli register and they brought the food to us There are low and high seat chairs with more seating on the next level. I enjoyed a Turkey panini with fresh veggies and light dressing. My mom had the soup and half sandwich deal. Lunch was about 10$ each. There is a small bar with some draft beers I'd definitely go back.
