Bidrage med feedbackThere was only one waiter working and he was extremely rude. The food had a strong odor, especially the ground beef kabab. This was my second time visiting and unfortunately, the experience was similar to my first. I had hoped that the previous bad experience was just due to the waiter having a bad day, but it seems that is not the case. I will not be returning to this restaurant again as it is not worth my time or money. Additionally, they include a 20% tip for a service that is only worthy of a 1% tip at most.
This review is specifically for the manager or owner of the restaurant. We came directly from a funeral today and waited for over an hour before they served us water at lunchtime. There were over 100 people in our group and the reservation was for 2 hours. My sister had to go to her car to get a bottle of water because we were not provided any. For future reference, please serve water and place at least a half gallon of water on each table while customers are waiting, rather than waiting until the food is ready. This lack of service was disappointing.
I would say this place is hands down the best place to get a taste of the authentic Afghan food in the DMV! Went there for an engagement part any it was just amazing! Only if I lived closer... I'd go there at least twice a week. Can't say enough about this place! Shola was amazing, kofta was on point and sabzi was delicious! The kabobs were a bit dry tho... other than that everything else was finger licking good!
The food was very good, especially the entrees. The meat was so incredibly tender and flavorful. The portions were nice as well. Their version of a green sauce is vinegar based and more like a chimicurry. Not a problem, it was delicious, but I prefer the green yogurt sauce found at other places. We got a Sambosay appetizer which was good and the bowlawnee which was just okay. The place itself lacks atmosphere and our waiter was not very attentive or particularly friendly
We very much enjoy the food here. We ordered the eggplant appetizer and the samosas. Both tasted good. Then I ordered the Bamian platter, and my wife a lamb dish. I would have liked the dishes to be hotter temperature wise. Otherwise an enjoyable dinner.
