The Original Mel's Diner - Fairfield

I ordered the Turkey and Dressing Meal. The Dressing was an obvious boxed Stove Top Brand. Bland. Mashed Potatoes were a Toddler Sized Serving!!! II was told they didn 't have ant Cranberry Sauce, when the waiter finally came back to the table to see if weneeded anything. I was half through my meal, when he found some Cranberry Sauce in the back somewhere. The Coleslaw was simplychopped Cabbage and Carrots. No mixture that actually makes it Coleslaw ! And it was also a child sized serving. Then thefemale cashier complained about another customer in a way that other people could easily hear her. Not good, not professional.So much more they could have, should have done for the price of that meal. The Turkey was perfect! Large slices and Tender. The Waiter was very nice, and did find me some Cranberry Sauce, albeit late and had handed one of us an unwrapped straw, and itlooked used. Still liked the guy. The Atmosphere of Mel 's is fantastic. We love it. ?? They do however, need to work onmatching the Quality and Amount of Food with the Price. Price wouldn 't have bothered me at all if, there weren 't so many thingsthat were not on par.

Update 6/24/2022: Had the Ribeye Steak and Eggs with a large Diet Coke. The Ribeye didn't taste as good as the New York Steak I had on 5/19/2022. The Ribeye was too salty and didn't have as much flavor as the NY Steak. Update 5/19/2022: Had the Steak &Egg Breakfast Special. The steak was cooked to perfection and the scrambled eggs were very fluffy. ???? My friend and I wentto Mel's today after trying to go there on Valentine's Day. When we showed up at 8am on Valentine's Day the restaurant wasclosed and no one was there so we ended up going to Black Bear Diner in Suisun. We came today and found the Food was mediocre toBlack Bear Diner. The paid was similar but the portion size was smaller at Mel's. The waitress was very nice and made ourbreakfast experience a pretty good one at Mel's.

The food was good. The employees could use improvement cause took them forever to take my order and then took them forever to refill my drink. The inside of dinner has an old school look and they played good music.

The food was good, the place was kind of dirty. There was an avocado under our table that I did not see and then stepped on it, I looked when this happened and saw it was just dirty under there, kind of gross. Also I thought it was kind of pricey for someeggs and potatoes but that may just be a sign of the times.

It was delicious!! The milkshakes were so thick and creamy and the burger was cooked just right. Fun atmosphere and excellent staff. No waiting forever!!
