Bidrage med feedbackIf social media didn 't exist, I don 't think Milkcraft would either this place was absolutely designed with Instagram portrait mode pictures and TikTok videos in mind. Virtually every ice cream option is ridiculously photogenic, especially if you 'rewilling to pony up a few extra dollars for one of the bubble waffle cones. My mom and I stopped by here after lunch on Friday,a very pleasant/toasty March afternoon. I haven 't been in downtown Fairfield since probably the mid 90s when I was a young pup,so I had no memory of what it looked like but I was pleasantly surprised to see an upscale college town. It 's not a coincidencethat Milkcraft is housed a few blocks away from a college campus, nor that it 's surrounded by a lot of newer, edgy restaurantsand shops, including an intriguing noodle bar right next door. This place is catnip for young pup adults and their parentslooking to spend a little cash while they 're in town. We timed our visit well no one was in the establishment when we showedup, but by the time we had our ice creams, a line of three or four people had materialized. I ordered a scoop of the Milk &Cereal $5.95), with Fruity Pebbles as the cereal in question. It was pretty tasty, definitely on the heavier side but I thinkthat 's to be expected. The prep work for the ice cream is pretty interesting they 're using liquid nitrogen to freeze the icecream scoops, which makes for a solid optic again, social media rears its head) and a smoother texture. Very cool. My mom got ared velvet flavor and declared it magnificent. She lives two towns over and I suspect will be returning shortly. One negativeis that by virtue of the extensive freezing process, it takes a few extra minutes to get your ice cream. If you have a sizeableline in front of you, it could take a while to start sampling the wares. The seating area is a definite bonus, especially on anice day. There 's a fire pit with some Adirondack chairs, along with other random, edgy post mod
Cute, new little ice cream shop in Fairfield. Ice cream is made to order, so each order is fresh. This also means you have to commit all your scoops to one flavor. I got the blue cookie butter and it was very sweet. It is also on the pricey side. Theblue cookie butter and s?mores are the most popular flavors. Edit: I don?t think I can come back here. I?m not sure what kindof milk or heavy cream they used but it gave me a stomach ache :x
Quite an experience! Ice cream and a show, they make it interesting to observe the process. We had the Smores Campfire in a waffle cone. It was very good. Quite expensive but worth trying if you haven't.
A very busy ice cream shop specializing in a few unique mashups and some classic flavors. They have bubble cones that are like belgian waffles made fresh for the ice cream that are available in multiple flavors. Unfortunately if you order multiple scoopsit can only be of one flavor so be aware before ordering . Also the bubble cones can melt your ice cream a bit which can thenmake things quite messy. Overall really good ice cream.
1st time here. 5 stars for the flavor and portions of these ice cream creations. Absolutely loved the bubble waffle! 2 stars for how long it took to get greeted and place an order. Service is super slow, I didnt expect the process to create thesehandcrafted cones to be fast, as they are made to order. However, to get acknowledged and to place an order was something Ithink they could work on. They only took an order once the one in front of you was complete. Maybe thats the process, I dontknow but since it was a rainy day and chilly outside that was unpleasant. The inside is small and they do have a counter at thewindow for up to 4 people to sit. I'd like to try this again when the weather is better. The flavors are amazing! We had 4different flavors, PB&J, Salted Caramel, Vietnamese Coffee and Vanilla. Yum!
