Hamrock's - Fairfax

Our server was Christal and she was excellent. She was very friendly and upbeat. The food was very good overall, although my dad's egg Benedict did arrive about 8 minutes after everyone else's, but he still said it was delicious. The restaurant was a little cramped for our party of 7 in a tiny room. One issue we had was that the bathrooms were not clean at all, which was a downfall for us. If a restaurant can keep their restrooms clean, it gives us confidence that their kitchen is clean as well.

I have been to Founding Farmers, Sweetwater, Mike's, and other restaurants, but this place is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. The service here was exceptional and very professional. The quesadillas were amazingly delicious. This will definitely be my new favorite spot for brunch. I have also tried their lunch and dinner options, which are even better than the brunch offerings. Overall, this restaurant is excellent.

I really enjoyed the complimentary corn muffins at the start of the meal. The lobster ravioli and lobster bisque were both delicious and highly recommended. The service had a few mistakes and the waiter took a while to come to our table, but it may have been because we were there during dinner rush. The portion sizes were average for the price, nothing extraordinary. I had higher hopes based on the reviews - the asparagus wasn't even served hot. If the weather is nice, I suggest sitting outside.

Didn't care for the atmosphere. Staff made us feel uncomfortable for asking to put a couple of tables together cuz we were a party of six. We were seated outside then it started to rain. Seemed like an inconvenience to them to move us inside. Got a weird vibe from the place.

Great visit. Excellent food and attentive service. We had the 3 course special menu meal. Fairly priced. My wife had Lobster Bisque, Crab Cakes, and Lemoncello cake. I had Crab and Artichoke chowder, Deep Sea Scallops and Key Lime Pie. All of the dishes were tasty Americana style preparation and spicing. Definitely will be back.
