This place is crazy good and comfortable. my pozole tasted like my friend Mexican mother had made it! the food is served beautifully with large portions and not too spicy if they do not ask for spicy. I recommend this place to everyone. the cheerful, nachos and pozole are one must.
One of the warmest hidden universes in all fairbanks! even better if they park directly in front of the road! this place feels like santa fe in the early 90s meets disco, disco disco! chips taste as if they were only made and are served with a mild salsa warm. the first basket is free! next basket is $3,50 I ordered the chile rellanó. this place has been there for about 40 years, but they moved when the nearby bridge was built. they moved here. delicious amazing cheerfulness!
Excellent hole in the wall with an informal ambiente. if they are looking for a precious stone, just sit down and get some good Mexican comfort eat, don't look further! we visited christmas and new years and choose this place to several places. the fajitas are generous portions, perfectly melated and all ingredients are crispy and fresh. my man had the pozole suppe, which was rich and full of taste and ingredients. our warmest compliments to the chef who knows how to balance warm, texture and taste! the constant server/bartender dejan (which seems to work all the time is always friendly, no matter how much it is to do. he ensured that we remain informed if any court would be delayed and overall was very service mentally and professional.
We came here 8/22/22 after a cruise. We had just taken a bus from our hotel in Denali and we were dropped off at the Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks at 6pm. We wanted to see Fairbanks!!! We took a little foot tour around town and we stumbled in the door not knowing anything about the area other than we really liked the ALASKA mural on the side of the building. We are super glad we came here!!! Our waiter, Vejan, was very polite and fast, efficient and friendly. He took total ownership of being poorly staffed. Did not complain. In fact I said something about being low staffed and he smiled and said I got this . The meal....best Mexican and best flavor in a long time. We seek out Mexican wherever we go. We 'll remember this place for a while and in fact still talk about it now that we are home in WV USA. Hopefully we can go back someday!!
