Carmelita's Fair Oaks

We arrived 15 minutes late due to a road closure...we let them know as we walked into the restaurant...they said no problem and took us right away to a very nice table......our server was so classy....I wish I knew his name, I would give him a recommendation! He treated us with so much class, I wanted to hug him! The food was delightful....and of course so were the drinks....we have been there before and will definately return again and again...Gwen Aquinto

We have dined at Carmelita 's for years. Food has always been good until last Saturday night. I asked our server if the menu was new and she replied yes . Current menu looks like an elementary school student had written. Selections are minimal. I inquired if there are new owners and she replied no . However, they do have a new manager and a new kitchen manager. My husband ordered two tacos and an enchilada. Both tacos were burned as was the taco I ordered. We realize restaurants have off days/nights, but there were just too many misses. Previous menu used to have extensive selections, in particular seafood. . We don 't know what the new folks are thinking, but you have lost some customers who have patronized for years.

Tasty dinner and margaritas. Will definitely recommend to friends.

The food and drink were fabulous. The food was fresh and flavorful with ample portions. The margaritas were very good. This is a neighborhood gem and we will return.

We've been going here for sometime. The staff are always so incredibly friendly and helpful...makes one feel as if they are [art of the family. The outside patio has an incredible ambiance. They have a variety of different food and not your typical tacos and enchiladas. If there is a drawback it would be their tortilla chips. That is a minor issue as who goes to a good restaurant for the chips.
