Bidrage med feedback36 minutes. On a quiet Friday dinner. For moules marinieres. Your signature court. You should've been out of this kitchen in three minutes. Not 36. The frites came 10 minutes later. I was halfway through the mouth when the frits finally showed up. I've never had Moule Frites where the two components arrived separately. Even pubs in England serve this dish better. I was pretty angry. I chose this restaurant because I thought it was fast, simple and tasty. It wasn't one of these things. The mouths are big, but not the best. They're powdery. How they were frozen. The sauce is not great either. My mother is better done, she is from Aldershot not France or Belgium. Staff are driving around to avoid eye contact. No one's offering you another drink. Or bring more bread while waiting for your hand for food. After our forgotten net and another inexplicable waiting, I finally get a large cream brûlée. It's okay, but stone is cold because it's been done somewhere else. If they have stacked them in the refrigerator, why does it take 10 minutes to get to the table? The fridge is 10 seconds walk away. There is hardly anyone in the restaurant and many employees. I'm just running on them because I don't want to spend another 15 minutes trying to catch the eye of the uninterested staff to take the bill. The bill is very reasonable. Under 30 € for 2 complete menus. It can be paid contact-free. We have been paid so much for a main dish in Meribel during skiing. But in these family-run restaurants the service and food are excellent, things really move along and the food comes quickly and tastes great. Staff notice that your glass is empty and ask if you need another. Leon is a chain. I knew it was different. But Moule Frites is the signature court of the chain and so I thought they could do it really much, much better.
The selection of dishes is exceptional. Well prepared not served well. Your different presentations of shells must be tried to believe
A decent alternative to American Diners and McDonald's. The menu is usually seafood (cooks, shrimps, fish chips), but there are also burgers and steaks for meat eaters. Dogs are welcome (maybe not all breeds and sizes, but our **** has been accepted and... even a bowl of water offered). My continuing Frenchman was usually enough to explain what we wanted, but I think the staff speaks English too. The quality of the food is good for the price (we paid 27 € per head with desserts and some drinks) and I would give the place a 5-star rating if there is not for a somewhat slow service rather unexpectedly in a street restaurant. We are really for a quick meal on the way back home, but stayed here well over an hour. Nonetheless, if you are ready to get your waiter to speed up the process that you probably do not regret coming here.
We were recommended this place by the proprietor of the Hotel Bristol (another 5* review from us! , which is 3 min away. The restaurant has a good range of fish dishes, plus very commendable burgers (real chopped beef , and a nice range of drinks, including...draught Affligem (superb . For a straightforward meal at a fair price, in spotless surroundings, this place is ideal.
We were on the way through a road trip and decided to clams for lunch, so this place was perfect. Large shells and chips, beautiful desserts and pleasant surroundings. Service is friendly but a little slow (also with the service guarantee).
