L'Opale Restaurant - Eygalières

Like most everything I review and rate on Trip Advisor be it a hotel or restaurant , price plays a major factor. You just expect more from an establishment that charges premium pricing vs moderate pricing. The review cannot be based solely on the food and service. It’s L’Opales pricing that made me down grade our restaurant experience to four stars. In terms of L’Opales setting and service it is 5 star. Both the interior and exterior dining areas are delightful. The seating on cushioned benches against the wall was some of the most comfortable seating I had during my stay in Provence. The service is 5 stars all the way. A special thanks to Eleanor for her very professional and top notch service. As to the food..... two of the items ordered were very good but not memorable given the price. Was the quality of the food better than when we ate at Aubergine or Le Progress ? Without a doubt it exceeded those two establishments but again for the price paid we were expecting more ....and one of the dishes ordered my guest indicated was just average. Despite my criticism, note that I still gave L’Opale a very good rating. Check my review of Paulettes in Eygalieres and you will see that L’Opale ranked as our second choice for dining in the area.

In a nutshell: one of the best price-quality ratio I have ever seen in an exquisite location. The food is delicious: the chef cooks local products and makes it sparkle! The cherry on the cake is the cosmopolitan staff who is absolutely kind and obliged. A Must-Do!

We’ve eaten here a couple of times and the food and service are second to none. All you can eat buffet for 18€ in a beautiful setting and we even had live music possibly because it was a Saturday. The staff are very friendly and professional. We will be back... ;

Un déjeuner en semaine, menu à 17€ d'un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Et un déjeuner le 15 août, menu à 36€ : plats très bien préparés, goûteux et copieux. Service impeccable, serveur agréable. Rien à redire. Belle carte des vins.

C'est la deuxième fois qu'on mange dans ce restaurant depuis son ouverture en juillet et samedi soir 19 aout en famille .un grand merci pour le gérant pour ce grand changement dans le service avec un nouveau responsable.PROF ET CLASSE NIVEAU HAUT STANDING ... le repas est super avec toujours cette attente des plats comme la dernière fois mais le nouveau recru nous a fais oublier tous ça..l'accueil , le service ..pratiquement seul pour plus de 21 cts avec ce niveau ( chapeau Monsieur ).. je suis restaurateur et je comprends....un grand merci pour le patron pour cet effort et bien sur peut mieux faire pour le manque de personnel..nous reviendrons en septembre espérant le même niveau service
