Zizzi - Exeter

We visited exeter zizzi for a family dinner on late Sunday night and there were 4 vegans in the party. the staff was excellent and made the evening very special the vegan choices are good and we all enjoyed eating, but it was the staff that made the difference. my wife and I have visited zizzi before, but never the exeter residence and we have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at zizzi’s.

Despite confirmation email the restaurant had nothing to show we booked so we were declined a table and had to be eat elsewhere.

Very nice ambience with nice outdoor terrace quite private courtyard. Always seems to be busy, although large enough. Staff pleasant. Food reliable. Worth booking especially if more than a couple.

We had a problem with our dish and it was rectified very well by the manager. Great service. Nice food

The restaurant did not register our booking but luckily there were loads of free seats. We were constantly asked if we were just having starters who goes to a restaurant late at night to just have a starter? My starter was not as good as previous times have had it in different locations. They only had pizza and salad available as hob was down but we were not informed of this as we were looking through our menu. We were then rushed to order and it took the waitress 15 minutes to come over to us to start with. Overall an unenjoyable date night.
