The Hidden Treasure Tea Room - Exeter

Came here with friends for a fully vegan high tea, and it was delicious! Everything was lovely and freshly made, couldn’t recommend more for a vegan afternoon tea in exeter.

I had a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant! The afternoon tea was fantastic and very fresh. It was nice to see a great selection of vegan options that were clearly thought out. The staff were very accommodating when we needed to change our reservation dates. The savory options included herby cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, smoked vegan cheese and pickle sandwiches, stuffed vine leaf, and a vegan sausage roll. The cranberry scones with raspberry jam and vegan clotted cream were delicious. The dessert selection included ginger and chocolate shortbread (my favorite), apple and almond pastry, marzipan stuffed date (my mom's favorite), Turkish delight, and syrup tart. I booked this as a birthday present for my mom and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this place. (I would have given 5 stars, but it's not a fully vegan restaurant)

I specifically came here for the cream tea, and wow, it was absolutely delicious!

My boyfriend and I love coming to this restaurant whenever we are in the city center. I always order the vegan cranberry cream tea, which comes with coconut cream and jam. The scone is always soft and delicious! During my last visit, they had almond milk instead of soya, and it was excellent. The almond milk tasted like marzipan and was fantastic. The tearoom is adorable and a perfect spot to stop by if you're in town or walking along the Exe. The owners are always so friendly, and you can tell they put their hearts into this place.
