Bidrage med feedbackI have been to the flat before, and I absolutely love it. The flavours of the pizzas are so well put together. Sadly on one occasion, I ordered a kids size pizza for myself as a takeaway (I live alone and with an eating disorder, so therefore, for me, it seems silly for me to buy a pizza I can’t finish). I was judged and made to feel like a terrible person for ordering a small pizza for one person/adult. I will not eat a whole pizza to myself, and have a complex about throwing food away, and wasting money. Not only was the managers snidey comment of ‘I’m sure a child wouldn’t be ordering a spicy sausage pizza’ belittling, but I was also charged the same price for an adult pizza, without being made aware of this before hand: I found this really unfair, and somehow felt guilty, even though I am still spending my money, and have been a couple of times before with friends. I’m sure you get many couples come in and share one pizza between two of them, which is the same as one adult buying a small pizza to themselves.
Booked here to try the gluten free pizzas. I am coeliac and made the decision that because the pizzas are prepared separately and cooked on their own tray, this was good enough for me to feel safe. Although, I called beforehand and the man on the phone wasn’t particularly reassuring and was a bit dismissive. We went anyway and I wasn’t asked any questions about my gluten free order or given reassurance at the time of order that it would be cooked separately. I know they can’t guarantee gluten free because of the environment but I would have appreciated the server letting me know they would take care to minimise cross contamination etc. The pizzas arrived and they were good, a really nice gluten free base although could have done with a bit more of the base tomato and cheese and a few more toppings. But the prices were very reasonable and the house wine was very good for £20.
Visited by myself and had the garlicky. Very enjoyable and yummy! I’m looking forward to going back next week. The vegan cheese tastes nice
Friendly staff and amazing pizzas and salad. It was such a joy to have a gluten free pizza that didn’t taste like cardboard!!
Honestly the best pizza restaurant in Exeter! It’s really great to see a pizza restaurant not just serving all the usual toppings, with their menu offering lots of different combinations that work so well! I highly recommend the garlicky or calzone. Somehow they make aubergine and courgettes on a pizza work! Everything on their menu can also be made vegan their vegan Parmesan is incredible! The team are incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and rustic, making it a place my friends and family visit on a regular basis. I’d definitely recommend booking to guarantee a table but they also offer takeaway if you can’t get a seat!
