Hubbox - Exeter

I got a meat burger instead of the vegans. was just a general mistake, but is not up. that shouldn't happen. my own and my partner were very clear that everything should be vegan. I'm not going to come back.

Get there early or late and you’re sorted. They’ve revamped the menu and it now offers more and better quality veg options. The fries are the same skin on ones they’ve always offered and an excellent selection of craft beers

We'd visited when they just started doing veggie and vegan food and raved about it. However when we returned they had run out of vegan mayo and couldn't offer even the veggie options and this was 6.30 in the evening in the middle of the week. This was really disappointing as this is just the kind of business we want to support. Local, independent, locally sourced produce, plenty of atmosphere.

Really good service, food and drinks consistently. They serve a good selection of vegan burgers, all very tasty!

Of four experiences at Hubbox in Exeter in recent years, two were good, the other two were in terms of hygiene, of everything. The first bad experience I had, I ordered an apple wine and they served a bottle with a glass. The glass was dirty. I also ordered onion rings and there was more ring than onion... like many and many oily doughs to just sit and pierce until you finally came to a list. Instead of making waves, I drank out of the bottle because I didn't want to complain, even though the waiter gave me a directed look when he went past... But, with Exeter's best vegan places a bit of a trek with unpleasant hours, the next time I was exhausted after a long day in Exeter I put it on mistakes and gave Hubbox another go. This time I and the person I was allowed to go up and it was a pleasant enough occasion: relaxed, warm, cozy and with appealing vegan options on the menu. The dirty glass was officially awarded. We went back on another short opportunity for more delicious rosemary stores and planned to try their other heavier vegan options in the future. The last time I left, the last one will be, and I do not recommend it to anyone else. We asked to go upstairs as last time, and were bluntly said no, top is closed. Okay? So we sat on the cold window on a gray rainy day, ungrunted when we saw people coming and going from above. We ordered herbal teas, the waiter said they didn't, so we ordered something else, the waiter came back and said our original herbal tea order was available, so we changed the order back... Lo! The herbal teas came in a plastic teapot with plastic cups and at this point I think what the... With more accurate inspection, the black plastic with dirty, scratched and so worn was porous and the cup of my friend actually had an old lipstick mark on it. You looked like Secondhand Camping Utensilien?! How can you be so obsessed and unclean? What? I swear there were a dozen new Covid variants. We were upset and wanted to go even though we were hungry, exhausted and tired. We told the woman that the mugs were dirty and would not pay for them and she looked at us empty and said without kindness or apology: I can get you another one, as it was the most obvious resolution and we overreacted. Bizarre as it is, we have 't from another plastic teapot with blows from another customer's mouth...
