Cross Rhodes Incorporated - Evanston

One of my favorite places for many years, always great food.

I've been living in the neighborhood for 2 years and finally gave Cross Rhodes a try, please don't wait that long and try it ASAP! Loved the food so much that that I came back a second night in a row. Staff is welcoming and accommodating, and the space a wonderful reminder of Rhodes Greece. Trust that I'll be coming back more often than before.

Maria is The Best!! Sam is The Man! Big shout out to Alfredo who makes my delicious Rhodes burgers. When asking for places to eat in Evanston, I'll tell Anyone with ears that Cross Rhodes is The Spot..

Best burger and fries in Evanston hands down, it had me in a heaven!!! so fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked. A staple! Great staff and atmosphere 10/10 don't forget about the egg lemon soup!!! So special.

Sad to see, but the place has really gone downhill over the years. The food was always a little inconsistent, but the price balanced it out. Every year, though, since well before this inflationary period, they’ve hiked the prices. Now the food is more expensive than other similar but higher quality restaurants. The last time we ate here, like so many times in the last few years, our gyros was subpar not slices, but little dried out broken pieces. The fries were somehow both soggy and overcooked. And their tzatziki had the stalest tasting ingredients. There is so much better Greek (even fast food) throughout the city. I imagine most people still go here because of the nostalgia, but it’s plainly not what it used to be.
