Bidrage med feedbackThe first time at Evans Head and will not be the last: a friend recommended me to treat me for dinner at this local Chinese restaurant. I believed alone, but...
To start, I had six steamed dim sims with soy sauce as my appetizer, and they were delightful! For my main course, I enjoyed sweet coconut rice with chicken chow mein, which was also quite tasty. I've had sweeter coconut rice in the past, but I understand each place has its own way of preparing and flavoring dishes. I only managed to eat half of my main course. Normally, I’m known for being a big eater, so I’m not sure if it was more food than I could handle or if my stomach was reacting to my recent healthy eating habits. When it came time to pay, the owner insisted that I take my leftovers home, which they usually offer, but I was honestly too full to accept. What really made my day was how interested he was in where I was from and my background. We enjoyed a little chit chat, and I complimented him not just on the wonderful food at his restaurant but also on how cozy and lovely Evans Head is. I really enjoyed my short stay here. I will definitely be giving this Chinese restaurant another try on my next visit. Goodbye for now, Evans Head!
A must-try dish is the deep-fried chili duck. The service is very quick, and the staff is friendly.
Delicious food, friendly staff, and affordable prices!
I’ve been dining at this restaurant for many years, and I’ve never had a bad meal. Everything is so delicious and well-prepared! The special fried rice is absolutely fantastic. This is, without a doubt, the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in Australia!
