Bidrage med feedbackLovely little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in downtown Eureka Springs. The atmosphere was nostalgic and old timey and the staff was super friendly. The biscuits and gravy was amazing and priced for well.
Amazing food! Felt like a kid again eating out at a cafe. I had the chicken with mushrooms, juicy and flavorful. His bacon cheeseburger was super juicy! And the onion rings were to die for!
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Food and service were good, prices were reasonable for a tourist town. Booth was kind of small/cluttered but the place was clean.
Reasonably quiet, clean, and somewhat comfortable; wooden slat booths not good. Staff very friendly and efficient. BUT, overall food prep and quality very poor. A specialty entree (we selected) of roast beef, gravy, and mashed potatoes came out not even luke warm and tasted awful (green beans were canned and unappealing). We refused the entree and sent it back; re ordered a patty melt sandwich. The re order was just warm and not hot and onions were chopped pieces not carmelized. Our other entree was a country fried steak sandwich with chips; we substituted the chips with French fries costing $2.95 for just a mere handful. The fried steak was quite larger than bun but was overdone and too crunchy; the tomato was too small and not fresh. The kitchen staff is obviously not qualified to prepare, cook, and present quality food. The food products overall were sub par at best; freshness and taste were non exsistent. If the ownership will greatly improve the kitchen staff and food products selection this restaurant could be quite good. Our total tab with tip was $38 a bit high for two sandwiches with fries, water, and 1 beer.
For the historical district prices were good! My daughter and I ate there. We had a few questions about different dishes, wasn’t busy. Ate and enjoyed it. Waitress seemed nice. Left a standard tip, around 20% (before tax). Came back the next day. Same waitress. She said, “oh you’re back,” got our drinks and menus. Heard her in the kitchen (small place) yelling, “I had to wait on them yesterday,” and talking about us. She made another server wait on us. The new server (older dark haired lady) was really nice and provided great service! Still, our dining experience was terrible because we were so embarrassed and confused. Not sure what we did wrong. You’re food and prices can be satisfactory, but when you have a mean-girl waitress who talks about you within earshot, the good things no longer matter.
