Nicky's Steakhouse - ESTES PARK

I have come to Nicky's many times and always thought it was very good. However this time was a buffet and on Valentines day. you could not order off the menu. The food was cold and not good. Cold Crab legs and prime is disgusting. Had I known that it was a buffet I never would have booked a reservation. I was very disappointed in the food and the price for cold seafood that has been sitting. I may try again when they cook their food fresh, but never again on any buffet night. Yuck The ambiance was great as usual.

The food was horrible. They had buffet for Valentine’s Day and every single item was bad. Crab legs were dry, soup was salty, mussels were shriveled up. The owner or manager was sitting behind us and he was extremely loud and unprofessional. The musician was singing sad love songs in Valentine’s Day.

They had live music the day we were there. Owner stopped by and said hello. Good food. Wait for service was a little long, appeared that only 1 waiter was covering the room, couple other people standing around. We weren't in any rush, so no big deal.

Food was incredible. Some of the best Ribeyes we have ever had. Had a great time. Would highly recommend. Hope to be back very soon.

Food was good and the value was outstanding but the service was very poor. Even though they were not very busy, we sat for nearly 30 minutes before someone took our order. Then waited about 20 more minutes before being served. Not good especially when you consider the fact that this is an issue that can easily be corrected. We will go back but if this happens again...
