Asador Diana - Estepona

Well, what a great find! We went for a cool deal, two for the price of one to the new “Diana Carvery” which is located on the first level of the Centro commercial at the Diana Centre. The location is pretty much in the centre of the first floor, above Mini India. I have to be honest in saying that we were not holding out much hope of a decent lunch as the cool deal was two for one and only cost us 12€ for the two of us. How wrong can you be!!! We arrived at around 1-45am and were on our own. However, the place soon started to fill up. Welcomed by the owner a very nice and polite lady who gave s a choice of tables. Our menu and drinks arrived and the best house wines we have ever had. For our starter, my better half ordered a goat’s cheese salad and I had the chicken pate with pear. They were both delicious and devoured without a word between us. Other than “Ohh” “AHH” how’s yours this is excellent, mine is terrific!!!!! Our host only came over to check we were happy and quickly left us to enjoy our starter. Now the main is a carvery style, service with a good choice between Carved turkey, shepherd’s pie, creamy chicken and prunes and something else I can’t remember. A good selection of fresh vegetables also available to accompany the choice of main. The thing is, you can go back as many times as you like and fill your plate until you are full. But, be careful, and leave room for dessert, I had the key lime pie and it was absolutely delightful. My better half could not manage a desert which was a shame as all were home made on the premises as was everything on the menu, and it showed. The chicken pate was awesome. I would not hesitate to recommend the Diana Carvery. It is great value and the quality of food is much higher end. We paid 12€ for the two of us and only 11.20€ for four good glasses of wine, to be honest it was embarrassing considering what we got. I would be more than happy to pay full price and even that would be fantastic value.

Good food. Have great tapas. A little pricey. Can smoke inside. Recommend ordering the chuleton for 2
