LE RIVE SUD hôtel 3 étoiles - restaurant

We ended up here because we had to stop for the night, by chance. La Rive Sud is the kind of place you are looking for, but you only find by shear luck. The restaurant is run by a young couple, Carole and Bertrand Chardonnens....The rooms are pleasant, comfortable and squeaky clean. The hotel is very quiet. The restaurant is roomy and has a very cozy warm atmosphere. The service is of a personal, attentive quality that is ver hard to come by in Europe these days. The food is excellent. We both had a very good green salad. My colleague had a chicken dish with a pepper sauce that was excellent and I had a risotto with mussels that the chef specially adapted to my taste and totally exceeded my expectations. For Switzerland, the prices were very reasonable, certainly compared to the quality delivered. In one word: Excellent!

We arrived at Le Rive Sud by chance, looking for some lunch before a hike and were well received including our (large) dog. Food was a great surprise and I really enjoyed my chicken with vin jaune sauce morillas, with the delicious polenta ...my chocolate tartlet at the end. The Chef came out to greet us which is always appreciated and the waitresses were efficient and nice.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Einziges Manko - die Portionen sind zum Teil sehr klein (z.B. Tartar).Sehr schönes Restaurant!

Das Restaurant hat eine kleine Terrasse im Herzen von Estavayer. Die Speisekarte ist klein, die Zubereitung aber hervorragend. Schöne Weinkarte und aufmerksame Bedienung.Die Portionen waren etwas klein.

Sehr sympathisches, kleines Hotel mit einer ausgezeichneten Küche und tollem Personal. Wir haben vorzüglich nach der Empfehlung des Chefs gespiesen und getrunken. Schöne Lage im Zentrum des Städtchens. Einzig die Parkplatzsituation ist nicht ganz zufriedenstellend. Besten Dank für Eure tolle Gastfreundschaft!
