Popeye - Esposende

This is a place for Francesinha and that’s what you should go for. The “Francesinha à Popeye” is an absolute must. It may be a little heavy for some so if you are not too hungry you can ask to divide by two persons. The restaurant itself is not fancy but is very typical of the north of Portugal. Nevertheless, 50m away you find yourself on the beach or on a pedestrian path through the dunes and pine forest. I’m a local and highly recommend (the francesinha and the pedestrian walk). The service is very good and Gil, the owner, is very attentive.

The best restaurant in Esposende, francesinhas, omelets prego no prato are amazing. Prices are really affordable : 35€ for 3 persons with drinks !

Francesinha bastante saborosa dá para comer no local e pedir para levar. Recomendo.
