Chilhar Restaurant - Espelette

A beautiful restaurant in Espelette, during our short stay in the region, so we returned there a second time on our return from San Sebastian. My wife and I were there for lunch, and we all had a pleasant time on the terrace. We wanted to eat local and we were not disappointed. The waitress's suggestions on local appetizers were perfect. The perfect axoa, the meat tasty and well cut.

Basque cake is a delight. The best of the Basque country. The cream is sublimely good....

My rating concerns the restaurant. We ate today to discover Basque specialties. Very warm welcome, fast service and served in a very timely manner. The dishes are really very good, it's not necessarily copious but we're looking for quality, and it's there... Besides, local products. Very reasonable price (menu €24) with starter, main course, dessert. It was really good. The outdoor terrace location is very nice. 5* completely deserved.

Very welcoming and very clean very well located and quiet excellent restaurant

We'll only talk about the restaurant part, the foie gras with espelette pepper was excellent, it was just missing a toast or a slice of spice bread to accompany it, the Saint-jaques were very well prepared and the pig too, for desserts that say. Too good!
