I can't comment on the food, but I can say that the layout within was badly planned. Four of us went to try out the place, but left after they had found nowhere to sit. Others went too. It wasn't because it was crowded. It was because all tables are long and can sit maybe 8-10 people, but there were 2 people at each table. And the benches in the middle, staring at a column without a table top in front of you... made absolutely no Sence. Nobody sat there and I can understand why. It could be a decent place when it is rebuilt.
Second visit in a few years and it was actually worse- ordered than family in three separate groups... simple pizza and wings lasted an hour to get out. 45 minutes after eating all the others, my pizza comes to dinner.... COLD.... No excuse, no break to the price.... We won't be back.
Great place to check if you are through this part of the city. In fact, it is a great place to take a detour when you're somewhere near Erie, PA. The outstanding brewing experience for me was the Black Cherry Cream Ale, a delicate and creamy surreal taste experience. Only the right balance of the black cherry with a touch of cream that raised the tasting notes to another level! I wanted to try something unusual and chose the Prickly Pear Hard Seltzer. Where do I start? It was fantastic! Also note the Cherry Bomb Sour Cherry Ale had that welcome wee bit of sour cherry flavor that ever made so subtle. I am a great fan of sour cherries, so it was nice to see that the taste was not excessively sour. Finally, do not forget the food options, many of which are available. I decided to go for pizza slices that asked me not "if", but "if "I'm going through again what I'm going to order in terms of brewed concoctions along with their wide range of foods.
Erie Brewing Company WEST is one of our favorite places! Good food, good beer (or so my husband tells me I don't drink beer, lol! and a really great atmosphere. I love the wings. Hubs loves the fish tacos. Give it a try. It's actually 2 different businesses: one does the food, one does the drinks. Both are definitely recommended!
