Birdhouse - Erie

Loved the atmosphere, our waitress, the food and beverages to die for! such flavor and great recommendations from staff. would give 5 stars but my husband and I were having a great night, celebrating his recent ability to advance in his construction career, and I privately made a comment about the companies kitchen staff wage fee on tab and how I wish businesses paid living wages vs openly charged customers extra when the cocktails are already $14 and tacos $6 each (personal opinion not meant to **** off strangers) and a staff wiping the table down next to us rudely interjected herself saying she 'd remove that from my check in a way that felt insulting not customer solution oriented. ruined the whole night. we came to get away from stress and negativity, splurge on a rare date night. what a bummer ending.

The service is a little slow, but the food is ok. It's not the best but I like it. It's a fun place too.

We love this restaurant. Ramen and tacos, what's not to love. As we are approaching colder weather it's so great to warm up with their amazing Ramen. We love the appetizer that is a flight or dips (queso, homemade guac and salsa) I had the shio ramen which has their amazing fried chicken in it. Absolutely fabulous flavor. We of course tried the churro flight for dessert. The chocolate dipping sauce was delicious. Pros: Delicious flavorful ramen Fun flavored street tacos Great appetizers Good for a date night, families or couples Great outdoor seating in the summer Convenient location Cons: You just need to be in the mood for ramen and tacos Note: Closed Mondays and Tuesdays and I suggest a reservation on the weekends. A great local place that if you have not tried you must.

If you're adventuring north of the metro area, and find yourself getting hungry, point your mode of transportation toward Erie's Birdhouse. A casual dining experience with the most amazing Tacos and Ramen. The service was excellent. The wait staff was upbeat, and knew their menu. Enough service to be helpful but not so much as to be annoying.
