Traditional pub on the edge of the Epping Forest. Dog-friendly child-friendly...his face is simply friendly....big pub duve and a good selection of beers... plus a beautiful garden area with friends and family to enjoy... hard to beat

Always a nice meal. Can highly recommend their Green Thai Curry. Chicken or seafood version. Prices are really good for the area. Beautiful outdoor seats, with a covered area and a quirky bench. This is my favorite public in Loughton.

Excellent roast dinner! Crunchy and crispy toast potatoes. Plenty of gravy. Hot food and hot gravy. Lamp shank was super. Lovely outdoor area to sit and friendly staff. Can do a gluten free roast dinner too. We loved it. Went after a walk in Epping forest and was a perfect end to the day before heading back to Canary Wharf. Gets a thumbs up from me as so many roast dinners are dissatisfying and also good fast service. Oh yes, don’t forget to have a chocolate brownie after. It’s gf too!

Excellent pub, with delicious food. Enjoyed the minted lamb chops and chorizo chicken dishes. We'll surely be back next time we're in Loughton.
