Kilcannon Garden Centre - Enniscorthy

Lovely Xmas shop for a couple Secret Santa bargains. Meat Platter 4 lunch, homemade fresh brown bread homemade Xmas pud and custard

I visited this cafe for the first time today, mid afternoon. I ate a delicious steamed chicken sandwich with coriander mayonnaise. I didn't realise that it would be accompanied by a small portion of chips which were also very tasty. The sandwich was good value. The restaurant has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, you enter by walking through the garden centre.

I was here last year and my experience was very poor but this year it has dropped to one star. The staff attitude is really terrible and there is no notion of putting the customer first. I absolutely felt like I was an inconvenience to the woman serving. Coffee and scone were only €3.20 and such a cheap price is indicative of the service. There was no milk available so this same woman asked one of the garden staff to get me a hug from the fridge behind her which he did without washing his hands which makes me wonder about HACCP adherence. There was also some greenery on my scone clearly indicating different foods prepared in the same space without cleaning. Will not return.

I have been have numerous times and each time the food is great! Great variety in both savoury and sweet foods. Scones go quickly though so get them early! Staff are friendly and the service is good. The only thing is it hasn't changed or improved the premises over the years. This place has such great potential and business would be booming if improvements were made. But overall a nice place to eat!

Stopped in here for lunch. Had soup which was delicious. Have also had coffee and tea here. The service is always good and the staff are friendly.
