Alpenclub - Engelberg

Depending on the season, vegan options are added on the map, otherwise vegan menus are added to request. we mentioned the vegan diet during the reservation and received a wonderful breakfast, especially for us.

Great centrally located hotel wellness resto in centre of engelberg. Looking forward to staying after we visited in Feb 2020 and sampled excellent food in stubli and restaurant. Unfortunately this time we went with high expectations which were not met. The room was small but lovely worth close to chf300 per night when the resort was quiet? Not sure it was. Wellness area and staff were lovely. Restaurant was pricey and didn't deliver on starter or main I had to send my main back and it returned microwaved. The chocolate mouse desert was still (thankfully) superb! Still good but certainly not the excellent we expected and (thought) we paid for.

If there were more stars available to award, I would give even more I have rarely enjoyed such empathetic and loving service as in the Alpine Club! The food was also great and the cozy, time honored room and the snowstorm outside made the visit an experience. Really highly recommended we would love to come back!

Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende in Engelberg und hatten uns für den ersten Abend für das Alpenclub entschieden - es war ein echt perfekter Abend, wir haben es sehr genossen. Und sind am nächsten Abend gleich wieder hierhin, da es in Engelberg in der Sommersaion keine Alternativen in ähnlicher Qualität wie das Alpenclub gibt. Warum gibt es keine urchigen, rustikalen Restaurants in einem Bergsportdorf wie Engelberg?Hat uns aber nichts ausgemacht, wir haben auch den zweiten Abend hier sehr genossen :-)Andrea Kapp ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, das Personal aufmerksam und sehr nett.Die Karte ist sehr spannend, von traditionellen Gerichten über italienische inkl. Pizza - hier findet jeder etwas! Wir hatten Cordon-bleu, Ossobucco und am zweiten Abend Fondue, alles wirklich super.
